I’ve been working on a coarse map of history. There are still a lot of gaps to fill! I’ll update the image when I’ve made any substantial amounts of progress.
Update (10/7/2006):This image is now available in a PDF version suitable for printing. It is also slowly but steadily being converted into an image map with links to relevant articles on the web.
