Martian society is an attempt at a anarcho-syndicalist utopia. The system works, but how much of its success is due to the fading idealism of its citizens remains to be seen. The cynical might claim that Earth`s anarchy works on distrust and selfishness, and so will survive, whereas Martian anarchy is surely doomed.
